sweating off my stress-induced brownie overdose,
i chose between the woman
who killed her own mother,
and the hot blonde detailing the ins and outs
of the months and years
of her kidnapping, rape and torture
by strangers,
both in high definition,
for my evening entertainment pleasure.
at least they're playing n'sync on the radio,
14-year-old me smiled at the silver lining.
(so had the blonde on TV).
all of us were white.
half of us had obvious eating disorders
in our castle of privilege in the sky
with diamonds.
after 30 mins. on the treadmill,
i've gained 4 lbs. in 2 months.
...it's not muscle.
it's just me,
